Just an update

Bless me for i have sinned; it's been too long since my last post. I should be stressed now. I have read in the paper that blog-stress is the new evil.

In the meantime -not experiencing the above mentioned stress- I have watched the film "Das Leben der Anderen" (The life of others) with J. I thought this was a great film and everyone should watch it.

Wednesday and thursday evening I did some fencing. Because the 14th Dom tournament was about to happen that weekend. I only competed in equipe (with E and I) on saturday. I had planned on fencing both days, but alas... i wasn't up for it. I ended up watching a lot of very interesting fights on sunday. The finales all were spectacular.

Luckily monday was an official day off. The next morning i had promised to donate some blood (10 tubes) for a collegue's experiment and the day turned out somewhat hectic, due to unexpected material that needed my attention during my other experiment. It starts to piss me off more and more these days that unexpected work comes along. I like to be well-prepared for the day; i like to have the whole week planned out even. I think it pisses me off like this, because much of the unexpectedness, according to me, can be avoided. And it feels like i am sometimes the 'victim' of someone else's inefficiencies (I think V can relate to it, hehe). More often i am less content with my work situation. Too much routine and repetition and no real challenges. Wednesday morning i had a meeting with H and L about my job and maybe things will change for me after all.

Of course wednesday and thursday evenings were spent fencing. And thursday was special because our sabre teacher would be teaching for the last time. He had our group fence a small tournament and to my surprise i came in 3rd out of 11. Very funny. I guess that evening i just thought "here goes nothing". But later on I started focussing and when that happens I sometimes get it right. So yeah very funny... So sad to see teach go....

And now it is tonight and i have just watched "factory girl" with J. About Edie Sedgwick's life.
